Khan's Call

The work draws on the heroic epic Abai Geser — the central epic tale of the Buryat people, recounting the deeds of the celestial warrior Geser, sent down to earth to defend people from demons and restore justice. The work takes a fragment in which the khan's call sounds: a summons to unite and to wake one's strength. The space is organised by two contrasting accent forms that set the direction of interaction. Vertical Old Mongolian script is embedded in ornamental fabric and relief surface, where the word functions not as narrative but as a rhythmic and structural axis. The gesture of summoning here is not an illustration but the compositional logic of the work itself: form and text merge into a single impulse of power and unity.
